Connect with a Confirmation Body

Confirmation Bodies shall be accredited for project validation and confirmation in the sector of the applicable forecast methodology and shall meet the competence requirements as set out in ISO 14065:2007 (or 14065:2013). All Confirmation Bodies must be approved by the Reserve and accredited under ISO 14065 by an International Accreditation Forum (IAF) member body located in the project site country must be used. If none can be found, Confirmation Bodies accredited by the United Nations Framework on Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) as Accredited Independent Entities approved under Joint Implementation or Designated Operational Entities approved under the Clean Development Mechanism may be used, subject to prior Reserve approval.

Note that confirmation bodies must have two or more Project Experts trained on each methodology for which they wish to perform confirmations. Confirmation bodies interested in subcontracting Project Experts may refer to the list of individuals who have participated in the relevant methodology-specific webinar. Note that the subcontracted Project Expert(s) must be identified on the Confirmation Policies Acknowledgement, Agreement, and Confirmation Staff Reporting Form and the NOCA/COI form.
