Climate Forward, a global greenhouse gas mitigation program of the Climate Action Reserve, accelerates action on climate change by encouraging companies and organizations to proactively invest today in projects that mitigate future greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In this public comment webinar, the methodology development team, including members from the Climate Action Reserve and Spatial Informatics Group, will provide an overview of Avoided Wildfire Emissions Forecast Methodology Version 1.0 which provides eligibility, quantification, reporting and confirmation requirements for projects undertaking fuel treatment activities that reduce the risk of megafires—and their associated GHG emissions—in forests of the Western United States. Following the overview there will be a Q&A session and an opportunity to provide public comment on the methodology.
