SUMMARY:How to Source GHG Credits as an Offsite Mitigation Measure under CEQA
DESCRIPTION:Register here: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/843252160431629071 \nThis webinar will share practical information on how projects can source GHG credits for CEQA compliance including incorporating local GHG credits as part of their offsite mitigation measures. Participants will learn about using ex-ante credits from GHG emissions reduction projects to help finance and secure offsite reductions with multiple co-benefits for local communities. To illustrate this approach\, the webinar will discuss several real-world examples\, including the Reserve’s Climate Forward program and how the program’s Forecasted Mitigation Units helped finance solar projects in low income communities in LA County. Speakers will share insight to the GHG credit market for CEQA\, provide context for the regulatory landscape for local mitigation\, and discuss the credit transaction and retirement process. This webinar will also discuss the carbon project design process\, including project structure and costs\, as well as project benefits and future opportunities for local mitigation. \nSpeakers:\nSeth Jacobson\, Senior Director\, Energy & Water Programs\, Climate Resolve\nRobert Z. Lee\, Program Director\, Climate Action Reserve\nJohn McDougal\, Vice President of Environmental Products\, Element Markets

SUMMARY:Introduction to the Climate Forward Mature Forest Management Forecast Methodology
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an upcoming webinar on the Climate Forward Mature Forest Management Forecast Methodology \nWednesday\, April 15\n9:00 am – 10:30 am PT\nRegister here \nThe Climate Forward Mature Forest Management Forecast Methodology is designed to incentivize management to increase carbon stocking on forest lands while promoting mature forest conditions\, as characterized by the presence of older and larger trees. Crediting is based on projected increases in carbon stocks under the project\, as guided by the conservation easement containing required terms\, relative to the baseline scenario. Projects registering under this methodology are issued FMUs which may be used by companies to mitigate forecasted (i.e.\, future) operational and/or project related GHG emissions. This webinar will provide an overview of the methodology\, including requirements for eligibility\, quantification\, reporting and confirmation.
